The Cycle Shop - Returns Policy

1. Warranty Return

For warranty claims, we will promptly repair or replace the damaged component  at no cost to the customer. Please do not return goods to us before obtaining a return number.

It is the customers responsibility to return and collect the items under warranty.  We can of course arrange collection and redelivery. Call the office for prices for this service.

Please note, no bike is indestructible and it is up to the owner to ensure that his or her bicycle is fully serviced every 400 miles of normal road use.

Warranty claims for wear and tear, abuse, readjustment, tightening or realignment can not be considered. The Cycle Shop will only accept warranty claims for materially defective goods.

The length of warranty is dependant on the model of bicycle purchased. The exact warranty details are included in the users handbook which was supplied with your bike. Please remember, most Claud Butler frames are guaranteed for life.

All warranty claims must be submitted in writing or by email.

2. Transit Damage Return

Please check goods thoroughly before signing to say that you have received them in good condition. The carrier will inevitably try to rush you. Just ignore them and make a simple check for transit damage.  This is very important as we claim from the carriers if ever they are responsible for such damage.

Do not amend the signature sheet in any way. The Cycle Shop will not accept any claim for goods signed unchecked.

Please note if you declare that you have received your item in good condition, it is difficult later claim that your bicycle was in fact damaged in transit.

If you do receive a bicycle which on inspection is unacceptably and substantially damaged, refuse delivery of it. Do not sign for it and contact us immediately on 01354 656150 giving a clear reason for refusal. We can then arrange for a replacement bicycle to be sent out to you as soon as we receive and inspect the returned bicycle. You will not be charged for this unless the goods are found on inspection to be undamaged.
